The homeopath needs to identify individualistic features of the disease as homeopathic medicines can be prescribed separately for individualized cases. For example a twin suffering from common cold will receive two different medicines. For this purpose, they need finer details than other physicians do.
Because of intricacies of life and a person’s individuality, a homeopath needs to take case in detail which lasts for longer period of time as compared to an allopathic doctor asking for case history.
There is an English phrase “Well-taken case is half cure”. The patients and the attending person should co-operate the homeopathic physician to ascertain and share all the necessary details.
