Can homeopathic medicines be given to "just" borne baby?

Yes, it can be given. In fact homeopathic medicines acts fast in new borne. A new borne is very sensitive to minimal doses and homeopathic remedies can act best. Giving bitter medicines to babies is a tough task on the other hand babies readily accepts homeopathic medicines.
